Southern Comfort was our 2009 NSR Fall Classic entry that injured himself on the 2nd day we were in Duncan and we were unable to show him. We were devastated that he was not able to be shown, however this was a blessing in disguise for us. Southern Comfort is the best Hampshire boar that we have produced in 30 years and we struggled back and forth about taking him to the show. We did decide to take him, however fate had something else in mind! Southern Comfort made the 15 hour trip back home and today is doing better than ever and we are very excited about adding him to our Hampshire Boar line up. Southern Comfort is the biggest boned, biggest footed, heaviest muscled boar we have ever raised. He is extended out through his neck and front end. He comes down wide and square off of both ends taking a long flexible stride off of all fours. He has an explosive top (the kind of top that you dream of) and carries it into a huge hip that is defined in it’s shape. We believe that will sire as much muscle as any crossbred boar. Use him on your blue butt sows to make Hampshire appearing show pigs or your Yorkshire sows to make heavy muscled, stylish blue butts. For you Hampshire breeders, we all struggle to find Hampshire boars that have an abundance of muscle and can still walk. Look no further, Southern Comfort is here!
