April 20, 2024 while judging a jackpot show in Ohio, KP and Lynsee saw a Berk Gilt that they both named Grand Champion Overall and easily identified her as one who would do big things in the summer of 2024. That evening on the drive home, a call was made to the breeder of that gilt, Doug Albright, and it was then we found out about her littermate brother Unsurpassed, and that he would be in the NSR Draft. Aimee and Lynsee made the trip to Coldwater, MI and sure enough Unsurpassed was EVERYTHING they had hoped for. Upon the NSR Draft, there was only one boar that was an "absolutely have to have, can't walk away from boar." Quite frankly, we know he was the most genuine boar in the Draft. Period. Not only because of his quality, but including the fact that his littermate sister has continued to be on a winning streak this summer. Shown by the Elchinger Family, Unsurpassed littermate sister has never been beaten in the Berkshire Division and has won Grand Champion Gilt Overall several times. She most recently won Champion Berk Gilt and 5th Overall Gilt at the Exposition. Unsurpassed is flexible, square, genuine in his muscle pattern, built right from the ground up and comes from one of the most distinguished Berkshire herds in the country. Hopefully, you can sense our excitement on this boar! We are so thankful that he is at Shaffer's Goldrush and we are hopeful he can do for your Berkshire program what we dream he will! An incredible boar, from an incredible litter. He is worth the hype!
