In order to register the litter properly, we need to know who’s name to register the litter under. Each Breed Registry does this a little different. Please read below how each breed does things.
National Swine Registry – (Hampshire, Duroc, Yorkshire & Landrace) –
They use a Herdmark. A herdmark is a usually 3 or 4 letters that corresponded to your name and farm name. This is what we need to fill out the paper work. If you do not have a herd mark, you can call the NSR at 765-463-3594.
American Berkshire Association
They use a Herdmark. A herdmark is a usually 3 or 4 letters that corresponded to your name and farm name. This is what we need to fill out the paper work. If you do not have a herd mark, you can call the Berkshire office at 765-497-3618.
Certified Pedigreed Swine – (Chesters, Spots, Polands, & Herefords)
They use a breeder number. This is a number that they give you. To obtain a number you can call the CPS at 309-691-0151.
We just need to know who you want to register the litter and under who’s name. If you need to contact them, visit their website www.tamworthswine.org.
