We think Thread the Needle is the ideal name for this particular boar because he is absolutely the kind that can shift the direction of a program.  He will move the needle when it comes to foot size, bone density, and extension up front. He is elevated on his toes, extended through his front end, and carries himself with the kind of presence that is hard to create and even harder to find.  This one has been a special creature ever since we got him from Decker. Every time you study him, there is another piece that makes sense for today’s show hog industry.  We believe this is a very high-end crossbred boar that can be used across a wide range of sow bases and still generate competitive, practical stock with elite look and structure.  And obviously, having Dog Eat Dog in the pedigree certainly doesn’t hurt anything.
