In full transparency, I went to Wehmer’s to look at a Landrace boar, but I was absolutely blown away when they rolled out their Crossbred Draft Entry boar as well.If we could fill a show barn full of barrows that look like him, what an unforgettable summer that would make.  This guy has a wicked look from the profile. He is short backed, huge ribbed, expressive in his shape, and genuinely bold down his top while still being square made and incredibly sound. His presence and power blend together to make a truly exciting barrow boar prospect.  When he comes at you with his opened-up chest floor, chiseled jawline, stout skull, and massive center body, he hits you hard.  Go The Distance has the extras that grab your attention immediately, but he still maintains the structural integrity and genuine build needed to make elite stock.  We are incredibly grateful to the Wehmer crew and extremely glad we were able to get this one pulled into Gold Rush.
