The 33 litter contained 7 males that were absolute highlights. They sold extremely well averaging north of $15k a head that night and found incredible homes. Headway was our favorite of that litter and the high seller that night at $33k. Aside from that litter being impressive, the sow line behind them was enough to get your heart pumping. Headway’s mom is the mother of the Hawk Families Grand Overall barrow at Denver 2025, and a mate to Straka’s Res. Grand at NAILE. Going further back in the pedigree you’ll find the infamous Never Before x Short Bus sow that has been so influential to our industry. That litter has not disappointed through the summer with several winning jackpots and major shows around the country including the 4th overall at NJSS and most recently the Res. Grand Barrow at California State Fair for the Hagen Family. Talking to the Goss Crew, it might not end there as several other mates are slated to show at state fairs and look very good. We believe in boars with good moms and especially ones that come from deep litters. We have bought some very good boars from the Goss Family that have worked for us and several others, Headway has a chance to be at the very top of that list! Phenotypically he is impeccable in terms of skeleton with loose joints and awesome slope to his shoulder, he’s a shapely dense boar that still has the look we all crave. An intimidating presence when he comes at you with tremendous toe quality. This one can see lots of different kinds of sows and I think a great option to make blues given his blue brothers and lineage.
